About Takedown

“Takedown” is a powerful “diss track*” from the 2025 animated Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters, performed by the fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x. In the movie, the song serves as a battle cry written by the main characters to expose and intimidate their rival boy band, the Saja Boys, who are actually demons in disguise. The song has aggressive beats and fierce lyrics designed to scare away demons, but it creates an emotional conflict for Rumi, one of the main characters who is secretly half-demon herself. The track was also performed by three members of the real K-pop group TWICE (Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung) for the film’s end credits version.
